The date was May 19, 1962, and gossip was flying about an affair between Marilyn Monroe and President John F. Kennedy. When the Hollywood siren showed up tipsy at a Democratic rally for Kennedy in New York City and performed a sultry rendition of “Happy Birthday,” it was clear: Something was going on
So I reckon all the celeb stylists got together and said “Let punk the bitches!” I have alway had a weakness for punk and all its style now, to wake in the morning and find all the best and sexiest celebs in the world after my own heart. Im just jealous it wasn’t me sashaying down the red carpet first punked up to the nines.
Check out some of these stunning creations. I have picked my favourite gowns (the ones I wish I was wearing) and put them here for you my fashionAnts, to feast your desires upon.
I love D&G but not this one…Next.
I love how chic this look is. Its mature and classy with a business woman approach that could be work day time. Ivanka Trump looks every inch the business lady in this Juan Carlos Obando dress.
Bodylishious in Mary Katrantzou
Miranda Kir in Michael Kors. She has the body to pull it off beautifully.
Simple, sexy and elegant without trying to hard. Nice. Cara in Thakoon
Fnky day to elegant night.
This is a sultry colour you dont see to often on the red carpet. Minka Kelly wares it well in Carolina Herrera
Nina looks great in this Altuzarra and Monique Lhullier. It reminds me a little of 80s Madonna, when she was cool. Wish she would stop trying.
Lopez knows how to pop a pose for the papz! She looks ravishing in one of my fav designers Michael Kors.
Plain redonklous. Sorry Madge. Take a leaf out of Milley’s book.
Proper party dress. Gisele in Diane von Furstenburg
This is a dress you can wear all year round. Its interesting and gives a mystique to Karlie Kloss. Louis Vuttion
Poor P. Alway the Puppet. Michael Cinco
This looks funky and elegant. I like the match Wes Gordon
Poison Ivy by name Poison Ivy by nature. Uma Thurman looks radiant in Diane Von Furstenburg
Good old D. Toning it down for once. She looks sophisticated.
Very David Bowie I reckon. Looks like high fashion 80s more than punk but looks good anyhow. Anthony Vaccarello
Fantastic…! Why not!!? Love it! The Louis Vuitton boots look incredible and the Giles Deacon dress is spectacular although I think the Philip Treacy headpiece is a little young for her! Gem!
Sienna looks a little lost in this, kinda like she thought she was killing it with the jacket then realised that everyone had out did her. Love the jacket not gone on that Burberry dress. Looks slightly to big and plain on her.
This looks like it would be suited in Ibiza. Maybe Jessica brought the wrong luggage. Diane von Furstenburg
Stunning! Sleek, understatedly sexy. Glamorous Gucci.Great choice for her.
Looks like a Tim Burton rag doll. Lilly Coles a bit of a wash out in Vivienne Westwood
Again the cropped, spiked blonde looks great. Milley is one of the youngest on the red carpet. She could have gotten away with what Madonna wore and Madona SHOULD have worn this Marc Jacobs! Perfect mis swap!
Anne Hathaway looks fantastic in this shear Valentino gown. Cropped spiky blonde suits her. It was a total and much a warranted removal from the sweet feminine side we are so bored of seeing. She rocks this and her boobs look great!
On fire in Givenchy. Love the classic gold detail.
But of course…! It was only a matter of time before a fine jewellers were completely cash in on vulnerable Rich women. What women with a blank cheque could resist a Chocolate Diamond piece of fine jewellery. You have Le Vian to that for these beauties but I guess after 500 years in the business, they clearly know whet they are doing 😉
Having a potter about town yesterday with a mate. Saw the lighting effect reflected on a building from the sun, thought I’d catch it before it vanishes, and attempt to blow a bubblegum bubble. Was tricky trying to capture the remaining Sun and bubble simultaneously. I tried. Lol!
