“It’s a winter garden hidden away in the heart of the Alps, a  captivating cocoon of twinkling silver and gold.”

Sounds like a winters dream come true. Dior have led the way in couture since 1946 and are only growing and getting better. They have opened up yet another sore in the French Alps.

Personally I don’t think I will be privileged enough to pay it a visit any time soon but it looks absolutely stunning. Check out the link below.

I feel 2014 will be an amazing year! May 2014 be filled with magic, positivity, love, joy and success and long may it reign.

Cheers to 2014 wishing all a Happy New Year !!

Face, Hair & Body

How are you all? I have been a bit slack of late. Its been a little while since I posted, apologies my little fashion followers. Anyway to keep our fingers sticky I have a few very simple and affordable products I d like to share. Sometimes you dont have to blow the bank to get the full effect.

Here I have Victoria’s Secret body moisturizer in Forever Pink with pink tuberose and pear. This is such a lush lotion that hydrates the skin and is fast absorbing and contains a nourishing formula of Aloe Vera, Oat and Grapeseed extracts plus vitamin C and E. It feels smooth and replenishing on the skin.

For the face a very obtainable Nivea cream Q10 SPF 30. Feels like Cashmere on the face and works well under make-up. This can be bought anywhere and is a reliable day cream. I am so glad the companies are coping onto the fact that an SPF 30 is needed to protect the skin rather  than a lame unuseful SPF 15 that’s has little or no barrier protection.

Also on my list, for the hair Argan Oil with Moroccan Argan Oil extract really hydrates and revitalises the hair. I find sometimes the water in cities can be hard, therefore leaving your hair dry and breakable. A few drops of this oil once a week, combed through the hair really works!!

So there you have the basic summer essentials to keep your Face, Hair and Body hydrated from the outside, looking and smelling great.

The Charlottes web of British designers shows us her bag lady attributes with these beautiful clear clutches. I love the red for a bit of danger and mystique and the crystal clear one for day time, quite clearly. Theses little clutches are available on most luxury brand websites and I would suggest to get your mitts on one if you can as they are totally delectable.

As session 6 of Mad Men began last night I wanted to share these gorgeous retro designs by Estee laurder. This limited edition make up is a replica of 60s chic. I really love this compaq.

A really cheap and highly beneficial beauty buy is Almond OIl! Almond oil can be used for a multitude of things such as being a great all over body moisturiser, massage it onto the scalp it can help hair to grown and become thicker, it helps with dark circles under the eye, it is 100% natural,  is so cheap at only £1.59… Seriously… I tried it and found it helped to brighten my skin. Its also great over salads as a dressing  😉 I recommend you try it out and see for yourself. Its a great item to have at hand. Apply on face and/or body to give the skin some natural moisture that it needs. Its a total winner!

Seems as I was reading recently that new stem cell technology is the way forward with anti ageing skin care, I thought Id share an affordable option. This lil pot from Origins (with SPF 25, very important) is only £46 in comparison to Dr Levy £280 and 3Lab £189.

The stem cells of all living things help to regenerate organs and skin etc. The skin care laboratories have decided to add plant stem cells to help regenerate skin and fight the ageing process. So far it has been the most successful of most experiments due to the natural qualities, effects and sustainability in production for one cell can generate millions.

I’m going to try this out and see how I get on and if it makes a difference. Lets find out if this stem cell renewal is really what it’s cracked up to be or if it’s another one trick pony 😉

This is a great site and platform for up and coming designers to sell their creations. This is a great idea and fantastic starting point for any designer looking to start selling their designs to the public fresh off the mannequin. I met the creator of Designer LookBook at a London Bloggers meet up back in November 2012 when Designer LookBook had just launched. She has come a long way since then. If you are a designer and don’t know how to go about selling then this is for you. Check out the link above.
