Yasmin Le Bon looks like the dream model mum at 50! One could only hope to look as great as she does at that age. Yasmin reckons its down to DNA saying

“It’s simple, it’s just DNA. You take care of yourself, you try as hard as you can to do the right things but the most important thing is to enjoy your life.

“How you feel inside kicks off the hormones that make your skin look good.”

I do agree to be honest that, if you do look after yourself and you have good DNA, it is possible to look great at any age that, and a positive attitude.  Personally I reckon the good genes are in my family, I just need to curb the copious consumption of alcohol and I might be on the right track 😉

A really cheap and highly beneficial beauty buy is Almond OIl! Almond oil can be used for a multitude of things such as being a great all over body moisturiser, massage it onto the scalp it can help hair to grown and become thicker, it helps with dark circles under the eye, it is 100% natural,  is so cheap at only £1.59… Seriously… I tried it and found it helped to brighten my skin. Its also great over salads as a dressing  😉 I recommend you try it out and see for yourself. Its a great item to have at hand. Apply on face and/or body to give the skin some natural moisture that it needs. Its a total winner!

I have tried many facial scrubs but I went for the less likely last. After trying many high end exfoliators I found they just don’t do it for me with their micro beads and minimising pore promises. I never enjoyed using products with micro beads as you have to work 3 times as hard to exfoliate and they seem to just get lost or sucked into your skin. Not particularly enjoyable and give little result.

Looking for something cheap and temporary while I was on holiday I picked up St Ives. I found it to be just what I was looking for.

St Ives does exactly what it says on the tin. It has the old fashioned larger exfoliant beads, is 100% natural, smells great for the first time it really leaves my skin soft and smooth. This is a product that I will stick to. Its affordable and I love the fact that its 100% natural. You can buy it in any Boots, Superdrug, Tescos or anywhere what sell beauty regime products. A great buy.

Seems as I was reading recently that new stem cell technology is the way forward with anti ageing skin care, I thought Id share an affordable option. This lil pot from Origins (with SPF 25, very important) is only £46 in comparison to Dr Levy £280 and 3Lab £189.

The stem cells of all living things help to regenerate organs and skin etc. The skin care laboratories have decided to add plant stem cells to help regenerate skin and fight the ageing process. So far it has been the most successful of most experiments due to the natural qualities, effects and sustainability in production for one cell can generate millions.

I’m going to try this out and see how I get on and if it makes a difference. Lets find out if this stem cell renewal is really what it’s cracked up to be or if it’s another one trick pony 😉
